Common cutout mistakes
- Framing to overall dimensions instead of the cutout.
- Measuring in one spot only. Measure front and back, left and right, and check both diagonals.
- Assuming every 32" or 36" grill uses the same opening.
- Forgetting hood clearance and drawer or rollout depth.

A grill cutout is the opening in a BBQ island that a built-in grill drops into. It is smaller than the grill's overall size because the grill's lip rests on the countertop. Always frame to the cutout, not the overall dimensions.
What cutout does a 32-inch Blaze grill need?
The Blaze BCM 32", Premium LTE+ 32" and Marine Grade Premium LTE+ 32" all list a 30⅝" W x 21¼" D x 8½" H cutout. The Blaze LTE PRO 32" lists 30¾" W x 21¼" D x 9½" H.
Do two 36-inch grills from different brands use the same cutout?
